Small business web design that turns visitors into bookings, without a contract you can't leave
Even if you have never had a spare evening to write a single page. We write the words, build a fast site with a Book button on every service, and register everything in your name.
Websites from £1,090, fixed price, one payment.
A one-page report built from public data: where you show up on Google Maps around your shop, where the Website button on your Google profile leads, how fast your current site loads on a phone, and how many taps it takes to book. Free. No call needed.
"I haven't had a single enquiry"
That line is from a UK business owner, three months after paying for a new site. Paying and getting no enquiries is the complaint we found most often when we read public reviews of agencies in Australia, the UK and the US, and it usually sits next to two others.
"We're now in July and I haven't had a single enquiry via the poor looking website."
UK business owner, Trustpilot review, July 2024
"Offered a website for £99, not at any point told about the additional costs, and had £350 taken without my full consent."
UK business owner, Trustpilot review
"I pay £30 a month for them to host it ... I don't actually know if they own my site or not."
UK business owner, Mumsnet, 2021
No enquiries. Extras after a cheap price. Not knowing who owns the site. One UK pricing guide puts hidden fees at 30 to 50% on top of the quoted price of a small website. A lower price fixes none of these three. The way the site is built, priced and handed over fixes all of them.
3 steps from first call to a live site
Check
We start with your free Leak Check, so we both see where customers drop off today: Google Maps, the Website button on your profile, the booking path. You stop guessing what the new site has to fix.
Build
We write the pages from your services, prices and photos, build the site, and send you a private preview link. You approve before anything goes live. You no longer have to write copy at 11pm after closing.
Hand over
The site goes live on a domain registered in your name, with tracking set up in your own Google account. You never have to chase anyone for a login.
Typical time from your content call and logins to launch: 2 weeks for Starter, 4 weeks for Growth. The slow part is usually waiting for photos and approvals, not the build.
No page-writing, no website builder to learn, no 12-month lock-in
Building a website is not the hard part. Finishing one, when you are also running the business, is.
"I'm a one man band car body repairer so I'm constantly at the unit trying to earn an honest living ... getting time to sit in front of a computer for hours creating online content is tough."

So the four jobs that usually stall a small business website are ours:
- writing every page,
- choosing what goes on the home page and what goes on service pages,
- connecting the booking or quote system,
- setting up the numbers so you can see what the site does.
A Book button on every service, so customers book while they still want to
- One page or section per service. Price, duration and what's included, written from your current price list or menu.
- A Book button for each service. Each button opens that exact service on your booking platform (Fresha, Timely, Square Appointments, Calendly or similar), not the platform's home page where the customer has to search again.
- Tap to call and tap for directions. On every page, sized for a thumb.
- A short quote form where booking doesn't fit. Trades and services that quote first get a three-field form instead of a Book button.
Every extra screen between "I want this" and a booking is a place where a customer gives up.
Pages that load fast on a phone, with no heavy page builder
- Lightweight pages by default. We build static, lean pages without a drag-and-drop builder underneath. If you want to write blog posts yourself, we build on WordPress instead.
- A speed target we check before launch. We aim for Largest Contentful Paint under 2.5 seconds on mobile, the level Google's Core Web Vitals call "good", and we show you the measurement. It is a target we test, not a ranking promise.
- Images compressed before upload. Photos from your phone are resized and compressed so they don't slow the page.
- Structured data (schema). Your business type, services, opening hours and FAQ, in the format search engines read directly.
Words written for your customers, not for us
- We write the copy. From your price list and one call of about 30 minutes. You review and change anything.
- Your customers' own words. If you have Google reviews, we read them to learn which words your customers use for what you do, and use those words in headings. We don't paste reviews onto the site without checking you're allowed to.
- One clear next step per page. Book, call or ask for a quote. Not five buttons competing for attention.
Measured from day one, so you can see what the site does
- Google Analytics 4 in your Google account. Not ours.
- Every Book button, phone tap and form counted separately. So you can see which service pages bring bookings.
- A launch report after 30 days. What happened, what we fixed, what we'd do next.

Prices in: US$ · A$ · £. Prices exclude GST/VAT. ATAVORA invoices from Vietnam. Business customers in Australia and the UK are not charged GST/VAT by us; your accountant can tell you if you need to account for it. US clients: we provide a W-8BEN-E. Prices also exclude ad spend. No setup fee beyond what's on this page. Domain registration is paid to the registrar in your name, usually a small yearly fee. See all our prices in one place and website maintenance services for the Care plans.
All-in buy-out rule. The website becomes yours after 12 months of All-in. If you leave sooner, you can buy it outright for the Starter price (£1,090) minus £90 for every month already paid; the remaining balance is printed on every invoice. All-in has a 3-month minimum.
Our promise on the website. Two rounds of revisions before handover, then 30 days after handover in which we fix any fault free of charge: a broken link, a form that doesn't send, a wrong price, anything that doesn't work as agreed. To claim, reply to any of our emails within the 30 days with the page and what's wrong.
Is there a catch?
Yes. To build the site we need you to have:
- your current price list or service menu, and a few photos of your work or premises (phone photos are fine),
- access to your domain, or a decision on a new one, which we register in your name,
- about 30 minutes for one call, and time to review the preview within 5 business days.
What a website can't do on its own: make people search for you. If nobody nearby finds you on Google Maps, the Leak Check will say so, and your first job is your Google profile, not a new site.
Nothing goes live until you approve it.
What you own: all of it, in your name, from day one
- The domain. Registered in your name and your email, or moved to you if we hold it today.
- The website. The pages, text and design we make for you. If you leave, we hand over the files and help you move for free.
- Google Analytics and Search Console. Created in your Google account. We are added as users and you can remove us any time.
- Your booking platform. Stays your account. We only link to it.
- Hosting. Included in Website Care, on ATAVORA's servers. The domain always stays in your name, and if you leave we help you move out for free.
If you leave, we hand over everything and remove our own access within 5 business days. You never pay to get your own site back.
How we report: calls, bookings and enquiries, not likes
- Calls. We count taps on your phone number on the website (a GA4 event) and, if you have a Google Business Profile, the calls it reports. A tap is not an answered call. If you share your call log, we put the two side by side.
- Bookings. We count clicks on each Book button, per service. To be straight with you: GA4 counts the click through to your booking platform, not the completed booking. Completed bookings live in your booking platform's own report. Send us that number each month, or give us read-only access, and we show both.
- Enquiries. Every form submission, with obvious spam filtered out.
- In plain English. One page: what happened, what we changed, what's next. With a one-off build you get the 30-day launch report. Monthly reports come with Website Care Plus or All-in.
One person accountable, a production team behind them
Hai Pham, founder of ATAVORA, is your single point of contact and answers for the result. ATAVORA is a small team in Vietnam led by Hai Pham. We work during Australian business hours; for UK and US clients most work happens while you sleep, and calls are booked in your morning. You wake up to a preview. More about us: who does the work, and how we work.
Questions owners ask before they pay for a website
How much does small business web design cost?
It depends on the country more than on the designer. Published starting prices we found: in Australia, small business websites run from about AUD 990 up to around AUD 2,475 at the middle of the market; in the UK, from £295, with £999 in the middle and up to £3,500; in the US, about USD 800 to 1,500 for a small business site. Our Starter is £1,090, with copywriting and tracking included.
How long until my site is live?
About 2 weeks (Starter) or 4 weeks (Growth) after we have your price list, photos and domain access. Most delays come from waiting on content, so we send you a short checklist on day one.
I already have a website. Do I need a new one?
Not always. Sometimes the leak is one broken Book link or a Google profile pointing to the wrong page. The Leak Check shows that before you spend anything. If a fix is enough, we'll say so.
Will my new website rank on Google?
We build it so search engines can read it properly: fast pages, clear structure, structured data. We don't promise rankings, and no one honestly can. For local searches like "near me", your Google Business Profile and reviews usually matter more than the website, which is why we offer local SEO separately.
Which booking systems do you connect?
Any system that gives each service its own link: Fresha, Timely, Square Appointments, Calendly and similar. If yours only has one general link, we use that and tell you what you're missing.
What happens if I stop paying?
With Starter or Growth there is nothing to stop: you paid once and it's yours. Hosting comes with Website Care; if you stop Care, we hand over the files and help you move for free. The domain stays in your name throughout. With All-in, the website becomes yours after 12 months; if you leave sooner you can buy it outright for the Starter price minus £90 for every month already paid (the balance is on every invoice).
If you're in the UK or the US, what do I pay?
Prices are set for each market, not converted: £1,090 for Starter in the UK, US$1,490 in the US. Prices exclude GST/VAT. ATAVORA invoices from Vietnam. Business customers in Australia and the UK are not charged GST/VAT by us; your accountant can tell you if you need to account for it. US clients: we provide a W-8BEN-E. In the US, a few states tax website design services (Kentucky and Connecticut list them, Texas treats some website and SEO packages as taxable), so check with your accountant.
Is the team really in Vietnam?
Yes. Hai Pham is accountable for your project. ATAVORA is a small team in Vietnam led by Hai Pham. We work during Australian business hours; for UK and US clients most work happens while you sleep, and calls are booked in your morning. We'd rather you hear it from us than find out later.
